Clickie is a handy utility that will add 2 new features to the context menu (right click) of Windows Explorer:
* Copy Path Name: Copies the path of the selected folder or file to the clipboard (as text). You can then paste it wherever you need it. Some softwares need the name and path of a file and do not provide any way to browse. In such a case, Clickie becomes very useful and will save you a lot of time.
* Open MS-DOS Prompt: Opens a DOS window in the selected directory. Using Clickie, you don't need to crawl to the directory you want to work in.
Works on Windows 95, 98, Me, NT and Windows 2000. Available in English and French.
Our Review: The developer is right - Clickie IS a handy utility. If you've noticed how annoying it is that whenever you run the MS-DOS command line from within Windows that it never places you in the directory you want to be working in then you'll be pleased to know that Clickie adds right-click functionality to Windows that allows you to select any directory and launch it as a working directory in MS-DOS. Similarly, Clickie also allows you to copy the exact Windows path to a file/folder so that you can paste it into a shortcut or as a filepath. Very useful if you are an advanced user and know what the heck I am talking about! It's free as well - so no harm done in installing it.
