Icons Control 2000 is designed to display as many icons/images as possible as thumbnails in a resizable windows for quick browsing. Icons/images can be copied, renamed, moved, and erased with a click of the mouse. Icons Control 2000 can even display and print icons embedded inside ICL, DLL, or EXE files. Displayed icons can be edited, converted to bitmaps, or extracted to ICO format (in the DLL or EXE viewing mode). The software is capable of creating DLLs from ICOs to optimize the use of disk space. In addition, you can convert from more than 50 image file formats including BMP, WMF, JPG, TIF, PNG, PCD, FPX, EPS, WPG, FAX, ICA, MAC, MSP, PCT, PCX, PSD, RAS, TGA to ICO with a single mouse click. Conversion and extraction can be done in batch mode, thus saving considerable time for those of you with large number of icons to process. Furthermore, any portion of the screen can be captured into an icon. For those of you who have access to TWAIN devices (i.e. scanners, digital cameras, etc.), you can even scan image of any size directly into icons. Hard copies of icons can be printed on any printer supported by Windows. Our Review: Icons Control 2000 is a fairly well designed program. It has all the icon creating and editing features you would expect, with some nice sound effects. However, it is split into two programs, a file viewer and an icon editor which seems rather pointless. Overall, Icons Control 2k is one of the better icon programs and a worthy download.
