Moove over, the cows are back in town. Cows have always played an important role in Chicago's history. From the infamous Mrs. O'Leary's cow, wrongly blamed for kicking over an oil lamp and causing the Great Chicago Fire, to the meat-packing district's now closed stockyards, to today's Cows on Parade. Making up for the disrespect of years past, this herd of 300 fantastically decorated cows celebrated our bovine friends. Each cow started out as a plain white fiberglass cast and was transformed by local artists into a totally unique sculpture. Come with us on our third virtual tour of the herd.
Our Review: If your appetite for the bovine has not yet been satiated, take a look at this latest installment of "Chicago Cows on Parade". "The Third Herd" contains further images of sculpted cows created by Chicago artists. Included is version 4.0 Beta of Artplayer, the viewing platform for the many image collections produced by Liquid Art Ltd.
