Windows View Randomizer is software that automatically changes different elements of Windows appearance in a random order adding a variety to how you Windows looks. Windows View Randomizer changes: Desktop Wallpaper, Colors of Windows Appearance, Screen Savers (every time Windows View Randomizer runs new random screen saver), Sounds (sounds to all registered events including Windows events and events registered by other programs), Startup/Shutdown Logos, Mouse Pointers, Background of Internet Explorer's toolbar (in Windows 98/2000 also background of toolbar of Windows Explorer), Desktop themes. Windows View Randomizer supports GIF, JPEG, BMP, ICO, EMF and WMF graphic formats for Wallpaper, Startup/Shutdown Logos and for Background of Internet Explorer's toolbar. It automatically converts images of all these graphic formats to BMP
Our Review: This application comes from the long line of application to originate around the concept of 'Windows Themes''. Changing the color settings, images, sounds and many other features were a feature originally of Windows 95 'Plus'. However, with Windows View Randomizer you can set many more options than within either Themes or Plus. Random images for your desktop, screensaver, sounds, mouse icons, and even internet explorer toolbar are just a few of the options included. While being very functional, it is also very intuitive which ensures it is easy to use. On the whole, the asking price of $10.00 US is very reasonable for such a product considering 'MS Plus' sells for around $40.00.
