This hexadecimal editor provides a extensive functionality, that is used during the process of software development. Files can be displayed and edited not only in hexadecimal, but as well in decimal, octal, binary or in text mode.
The user interface supports a fast approach to the specific data through drag&drop, clipboard and find/replace operations. More than one file can be searched through at one time.
The user interface is variable, so the user may adapt it to his needs in color and font settings.
A feature to show two files simultaniously and to search for differences and matches automatically allows you to find errors e.g. in generated files, or to find matching structures in cryptic code fragments. One file can be moved relative to the other, if the entry points lie at different offsets.
A file statistics option can be called, e.g. to determine to which level a file may be compressed. Features:
Display and edit in hexadecimal, decimal, octal, binary and text format
Extensive search/replace funtions for one or more files
File comparison
File statistics
Multiple undo/redo operations
Numerical information option for several bytes
Bitorder is switchable
User defined layout
Our Review: NitroHex is a text/binary/hex/octal/decimal editor. It lets you compare files and stuff like that. It's quite pretty and powerful but the help file is not yet complete.
