Words
The program of Words allows you to learn new words while working (without interrupting your work). You can choose the topics to study. You can add any words you need. It has comfortable interface, it can be easily configured according to your wishes. In certain intervals you will be asked to translate several words ( the duration of the periods and the number of the words you may set on your own). The choice of words is not arbitrary but based on the statistics if your mistakes: the more mistakes you make in the word the more often it is displayed. You can make the answer in two ways: either choosing the correct answers among others (i.e. multiple choice) or typing it on your own. Registered users can download additional dictionaries. Our Review: Words is an excellent piece of software with which to learn a foreign language - whether it be a language from another country or simply technical gargon. Words runs in your systray and will automatically pop-up a word to learn at preset intervals (while you work). Dictionaries can be downloaded from the developer and the program itself can 'learn' when you have successfully learnt a word (thus preventing it from bombarding you with useless repetitions). An excellent idea that will prove to be a real help.
