Acorn Arcade teaches PHONICS, READING, & DECISION MAKING. To play, shoot down words and letters using Sammy Squirrel's Acorn Launcher. Listen carefully to the sounds and words little Mouse says. Then match the word to the sound you heard. To pick the word or the picture, click the moving target and shoot the acorns. If correct, the word is read and one of the goal acorns highlights. When all four acorns are highlighted, play the bonus round. To repeat a sound, click the megaphone at the bottom of the screen. Our Review: This is an amusing little game in which the player has to match the sound to either an image or word. They then shoot an "Acorn Launcher" at the right card, and the game progresses to a harder level. On the whole this game would promise hours of fun for children from the age of about 4 up. Yet another in the long line of Fisher Price games for children. Enjoy.
