It is fully functional but is restricted to the first 80 Jouyou kanji and 320 compounds. Kanji Learner requires that your computer has a Japanese font installed (preferably MS Mincho) for it to run correctly. If you don't have a Japanese font installed you must download the program file JpnSupp.exe first. This file is part of Microsoft's freely distributable Far Eastern Support for Office 97 and when run will install the MS Mincho font on your machine.
Our Review: A Japanese Kanji learning tool . Very easy to use - displayed on 3 main tabs for easy navigation: learning, testing and information. Basically you can attempt to learn several of the many Kanji supplied, then test yourself for recall. A Japanese font must be installed on the computer, in order for the symbols to be displayed. Another cool feature is "draw Kanji", where you can practice the strokes required for each character to be drawn. Very nice.
