Pythia - The Neural Network Designer
Pythia is a program for the development and design of Neural Networks. Neural Networks are used to detect hidden relations in a set of patterns, e.g. stock market data or weather data. Pythia features Backpropagation Networks. The network parameters (Weights) are initially set to random value. During the Training phase the actual output of the network is compared with the desired output and the error propagated back toward the input of the network. Pythia allows you to import data from different file formats or from spreadsheet programs like Microsoft Excel. You can design and train Neural Networks. Both, data and networks can easily be stored on disk. A special feature of Pythia is the Evolutionary Optimizer that automatically generates suitable networks for a given training data set. It uses evolutionary algorithms for the selection and generation of neural networks. Our Review: Pythia, the Neural Network Designer, detects and creates relationships between information using a series of networks and algorithims. Although the interface looks a little difficult to use, it is accompanied by nicely illustrated documentation, with step-by-step instructions.
