SkyGlass is quick, simple to use, colorful, and has a database that contains most celestial objects that an amateur astronomer would want to observe and learn. The entire PC screen is used to display the sky; users control the application through a right-click context menu and a control box, which is visible only when the mouse cursor is in the lower right corner of the screen.
Our Review: Sky Glass 2000 is a great program for experianced astronomers or anyone with an interest in the sky above them. It gives a very detailed view of the stars, planets and other celestial bodies in the solar system. It contains many features, accessible by way of a drop down menu, for customising the view, including rotating to give a view from a certain point on earth, or time. Also provides extra information on certain planets and stars by left click of the mouse, and gives the option of naming stars, planets and even constellations.
