Machinist Mate is for Machinists' & Tool Makers, but anyone who needs to calculate triangles, arcs, chords, compound angles, dovetails, bolt hole circles, sheet metal bend allowances, feeds & speeds, sprocket profiles, tapers, etc. will find this program useful. It will convert from inches to millimeters and from decimal degrees to degrees, minutes, seconds. All calculations are accurate to at least 7 decimal places, which is close enough for most machining. Our Review: Machinist Mate calculates measures of common objects in the machine industry such as tapers, tap drill charts or dovetails. It provides picture of the object with fields to be filled by numerical values. After clicking on Calculate, fields which were left empty will be calculated. It is very simple to use and intuitive and might be very helpful to machinists who otherwise would need to use standard calculators and complicated formulae.
