Wonders of Words is a wonderful software program that teaches reading and writing to children ages six to ten. It is designed to enhance children's language skills systematically. There are four games in Wonders of Words. They work together to build progressively more advanced skills required for reading and writing. It teaches spelling, word classification, grammar and sentence construction. Children can also write and illustrate their own stories. Our Review:A very nice program that aids younger children with word recognition and basic gramatical principles by involving them in interactive games. The game involve picking the correct word from a train, crossing a bridge by choosing the correct gramatical structures, etc. Wonder of Words has a very easy to use interface and is accompanied by music and voice recognition of the words involved. Well worth a look. |
