Cue Club is one of the most realistic pool and snooker simulations to date. Compete in UK 8 Ball, US 8 ball, 9 Ball, Snooker, Killer, and Speed Pool in various venues throughout the city. Do well enough and you can work your way up the ranks and take on one of the local bosses. In addition to numerous game modes, precision physics, and various locations, Cue Club also features a robust Virtual Chat Room! Our Review: CueClub may not have the 3D environments of Virtual Pool but it looks as good as 2D possibly can. Everything from the menu screens to the fictional charaters that inhabit the numerous virtual pool halls of CueClub is delivered in style, and the actual gameplay is simply brilliant. The ball movements are silky smooth, the shot selection is suitably diverse and the all important AI is better than usual. The career mode is also impeccable, allowing you to enter virtual chat-rooms and pick up games with the other virtual players, enter tournaments and take on the local hot-shots. While Virtual Pool may look a little better, CueClub's different enough to withstand comparison. CueClub is first-rate all the way - it's just a pity this miserly demo only gives you 1 minute of playing time.
