CrazyTalk takes any 2D photo and evolves it into a talking and animated CrazyFace in just a few clicks. Use CrazyTalk to create talking images of your friends, family, and co-workers.
CrazyTalk's proprietary facial animation technology allows you to import any image or likeness of a face and bring it to virtual life. All you need do is fit the digital image with CrazyTalk's easy-to-use wireframe technology; by adjusting the scale and position of the face, eyes, nose & mouth. With CrazyTalk's expression morphing technology you can then customize the image with over 20 expressions and gestures such as smiling, frowning, crying and laughing.
To give your CrazyPal a voice, CrazyTalk takes advantage of SAPI standard TTS (Text-To-Speech technology-TTS converts text into voice output using speech synthesis techniques) which is incorporated into the program. CrazyTalk's TTS application gives you control over volume, pitch, and frequency in an interface that's straightforward and easy to use.
Once 2D photos have been transformed into moving, talking animations, your virtual CrazyPal is ready to go on stage. The CrazyPal can be saved as an ActiveX control for IE and Netscape. With CrazyTalk's open architecture, web builder can flexibly control CrazyPal's expression, text content for different application via java or VB script.
Our Review: Ever wanted to make someone your very own ventriloquist's dummy? Put words in someone's mouth? Give them ridiculous facial expressions? Well - now you can with this amazing little utility. You simply have to select the image you want, use the inbuilt facial editor to warp your face and give it the necessary animated ability to talk. You then simply type in your spiel, choose your voice and you are away. You can save as a video file or an executable or simply export the WAV. While this demo doesn't let you choose and edit your own picture, I still had fun messing about with the samples provided and before I knew it Vincent Van Gogh was blurting out all manner of profanity. The only real problem is that the output files are quite large (a few megs for only 20 seconds) , meaning this is hardly going to replace e-mail. Still, it's sooo much more fun - so get it now.
