Welcome to the Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis demo. In this demo there is one level available, in which you play as a part of an infantry squad. Your squad's mission is to neutralise the hostile forces in a small area of one of the islands in the game. In the full game you can look forward to a full campaign, featuring over 30 missions. You shall be able to play as an infantry soldier, a tank commander, a pilot and a special forces operative. Eventually, you shall also be able to command other troops in combat to test your tactical skills as well as your combat awareness. Our Review: Doesn't every boy dream of being a soldier at some point in his life? The cameraderie, the scenery, the exotic locations, the big chunky phallic weaponry, the neato high-tech gizmo's...The list goes on. Anyway, Operation Flashpoint lets you live out your dreams putting you in control of lowly soldier, with promotions to Tank Commander, Helicopter Commander, a Squad Commander and even a special forces member. Quite frankly, you really don't want to miss this game. However, you may want to consider upgrading your machine before you give this a go as the specs are pretty steep. This demo lets you drive a jeep around and go kick some communist ass with the rest of your squad. The graphics are wonderful and sound suitably atmospheric. The explosions and special effects aren't the special, but this is real-life, so don't expect to see a BFG or railgun hiding behind a bush. You really want to download this game. Really. Really and truly.
