Advanced Worm
Advanced Worm is a simple but challenging version of the classic Worm game -- with plenty of options and enhancements to make it even more entertaining. You guide your worm around the screen, gobbling goodies like apples, pears, and even rabbits, while avoiding obstacles such as walls and your own tail (which grows with each fruit you gulp down). Each fruit is worth more if you get to it quickly, adding an urgency to your actions. The game has simple, bright, colorful graphics, and it's upbeat and ever-changing. It even has skins, so you can turn your worm into an ever-stretching cat, if you like; other options include game type (Multi-Level or DeathMatch, choice of three difficulty levels, and music selection. To access options, you need to right-click on the game screen to bring up the Options menu. With ten levels of play and easy-to-master worm controls, Advanced Worm is simple enough for kids, but sufficiently challenging for adults. Our Review: Hurrah! It's great! More fun than a hole in the head. Not only can you have two players but the graphics are great, the sound is fun and there are better power-ups. I was really impressed by the inclusion of the Flashget Icon as the speed powerup. Well worth the $10 to download.
