Here's a game for anyone who enjoys a fast-paced word puzzle! Alphen presents you with several words of equal length, one above the other. The only problem is that the letters have been mixed up: the letters are all in their proper positions from left to right, but most of them are in the wrong rows! Your only clue for unscrambling the words is that you are told the category each one belongs to. The first word might be the name of a flower, the second a musical instrument, and so on. Figuring out one word narrows the choice of letters available for those remaining, so each successive word gets easier to solve.
Our Review: This game can be surpisingly difficult. Because the program is American, getting hit with an eight letter American State can be a real killer for someone who doesn't know them. If you really get stuck on a word then it is possible to cheat, especially with the shorter words as there is a limit to the combinations and you can go through them all in just a few seconds. This game does build thinking on your feet skills though and would be perfect for any parent looking for a fun non-violent game for their children.
