Our Review: WOW! The simple way to work out whether this game runs smoothly on your machine is to answer the question: do you own a computer? If so, you probably can't run this game smoothly unless it's brand spanking new, but it's worth trying. The minimum specs are a 300Mhz PII with 64mbs of ram and a 4mb 3D card so, for a lot of you out there, you're missing out. With the story something out of a good William Gibson novel, you are a part-human, part machine, genetically altered killing machine... (Now where have I heard that before?) Although the level graphics are very bland and don't really make that much of an improvement over Half-Life, the up close graphics of weapons and other objects are very well done. The explosions also bring out some neat effects and the characters are nicely modelled. The sounds are crisp and clear and the music is nicely ambient but nothing special. Gameplay-wise, it's a mix between Half-Life and Rainbow 6 with a lot of skulking around sniping from afar with plenty of mission objectives. It is also a lot like an RPG with your character having various skills which he can improve, etc. I ran this on a 500Mhz Celeron with 64 MBs of RAM and an Intel 810i graphics card and it was fairly jerky with lots of enemies onscreen or wide open spaces. Good, but not great. And no visible multiplayer options. (This demo does not run on German PCs)
