Snowman
Enchanting word game for one to four children that's played along the same lines as the popular word game Hangman. The object is to guess the word before you melt the snowman. You choose your letters from the colorful arrangement hanging from the clothesline, with sound effects to accompany the placement of the letters. Hints are available, and you can choose up to 10 wrong letters before the round is over. If kids tire of the snowman, they can switch over to an apple tree which sheds apples and leaves, a bird that looses its color or a drying ocean. Integrated vocabulary editor and optional sound support. This multilingual version enables you also to practice your foreign language vocabulary. Our Review: No points for originality here - this is basically a copy of Hangman but instead of hanging a man, you melt the snowman if you choose the wrong letters. There is the provision for parents to add words to the database for their children to be tested on (a very worthwhile feature), as well as changing the snowman into an apple tree. Also has sounds and lets up to 4 players take part. Overall, an excellent spelling, analytical thought and reasoning development program.
