This demonstration scenario depicts the opening moments (only) of the Battle of Gross-Jagersdorf, the first meeting of the Prussian and Russian armies during the Seven Years' War. The full Battle of Gross-Jagersdorf, along with many others, including the battles of Marlborough and several from the American Revolution, are available in the complete game.
Our Review: Horse and Musket: Great Battles of the 18th Century is a historically based strategy game where you command troops against an enemy army from a 3D, bird's-eye-view interface (similar to Panzer General). The operation of the game is initially a little confusing, but there is a detailed players' manual that explains how to get the most out of the game. Battle stats are available which provide both useful and interesting army information. Horse and Musket is a fun game, suitable for those interested in history, as well as casual gamers.
