This program is for playing a card game called 'preference' (as a french word it should be pronounced 'prefer-AH-ns' with a stress on the last syllable). This card game is very popular in Russia. There are several kinds of the game with a slight variation in the rules, this program can play 'Sochi' and 'Leningrad' (which is also called 'Piter' for short from St. Petersburg) versions of the game. Our Review: Danzig Pref Engine is the PC version of the well known card game Preference. It can be played on the network with 2 other opponents or against the PC. The graphical interface and the way cards are drawn will remind you of standard Windows card games. Preference is known as a tricky game. If you like card games and don't want it to be too simple then Preference might be the right choice for you.
