Motocross Madness 2 is the outrageous sequel to the award winning Motocross Madness. Motocross Madness 2 features all of the killer dirtbike action of the original, but takes a quantum leap forward with entirely new gameplay depth, graphics realism, accessibility and community/multiplayer features. Our Review: Neato! It's Motorcross Madness 2 from Microsoft. I remember playing the original at a computer Expo and thinking 'hmmm.... interesting... oh look.. Gran Turismo' and promptly forgetting about it as much of the gaming community did. It popped up occasionally on the 'funny screenshots' pages of computer magazines with riders being hurled miles into the air. But the new game is quite good - it ran smooth as you please on our Celeron 500s, with a few graphics glitches on our Intel 810s, but it is only a demo. There are a few limited tracks to burn around on and it comes with full multiplayer support and support for microsoft's MSN gaming zone. The bikes sound suitably 2-stroke-ish and there are cute little birdy sounds for the forests. The riders also make pleasing grunts when you manage to careen into a wall..... As a demo it's very limited with only 2 bikes and a few tracks but it's good fun and easy to control the bikes. The stunts are neat too. Probably worth downloading the 45 MBs for.
