Serious Sam is a high-adrenaline arcade-action shooter heavily focused on frantic arcade-style single player action. In a world where cyberpunk meets fantasy-fiction and advanced technology is mixed with black magic and psycho-powers, Sam travels through the beautiful world of ancient Egypt and several diverse planets, confronting countless Mental's minions on his way to the Mental's base. Our Review: A very good demo for a 1st person shooter with a bit of a difference. Serious Sam has a similar feel to the old Doom games, with the added bonus of being rendered in beautiful 3D. You run around an Egyptian/Stargate looking place with the objective of kickin' some serious butt. Your enemies are quite macabre - headless rocketeers, cyclops looking dudes and flying men, and the game certainly feels a little scary. Even easy mode is a challenge! It is quite hardware intensive as it wants at least a 500 pentium and 32MB 3D card (depending on the type). If you have the system and the guts, this is well worth the download.
