Terminal Reality has recently completed Blair Witch Volume 1: Rustin Parr. Set in 1941, this first adventure pits Spookhouse agent Doc Holliday against the demons that drove hermit Rustin Parr to brutally torture and murder seven children in Burkittsville, Maryland. Along the way, she will have to interactwith horror-stricken townspeople and investigate ancient Native American legends and rituals as she seeks out the seed of evil that still haunts the town.
Rustin Parr combines traditional adventure elements such as research, exploration and puzzle solving with a healthy dose of heart-pounding action to create a frighteningly cerebral gaming experience.
Our Review: How.... odd. From its humble beginnings as a cult 'horror' film the Blair Witch Project has grown into a multi million dollar 3-game, possibly 3 movie franchise complete with flash websites and games. The first game takes place about 50 years before the first movie, and sets you as ace spook hunter Doc Holliday. You have to explore the mystery house as seen at the of the first movie where everyone dies as part of your greater quest to find out whats wrong with the spooky town of Burkittsville. It also reveals how the characters from the movie are really killed in a strange time travel sequence... Think of this game as Resident Evil crossed with Silent Hill, without the cheesey (and highly amusing) voice acting. Walk around in glorious 3d with big guns, destroy the evil wraiths and collect clues. This game is worth a download, although the system specs are a bit high... Fun!
