Like no other software currently available, SnapStream Personal Video Station gives you networked personal television. In a fashion similar to TiVoTM and ReplayTVTM recorders (products of TiVo, Inc. and ReplayTV Inc. respectively), PVS allows you to create intelligent recordings so you never miss your favorite shows. SnapStream PVS is fully network-centric which means you can control and watch videos from your own PVS from anywhere on your home network or the Internet... just as if you were sitting at your PVS! Our Review: A very, very interesting concept that looks to do to video what audio streaming companies did to music. It allows you to record video from either your video or TV capture card, and then allow it to be streamed on the internet for private or public use. You can schedule the program to record shows (just as you would with a physical video recorder), and then view them later on the internet. The program is online based, with a tool that installs itself in your system tray. Could have great implications in the form of recording your home videos for family across the world to view. Requires a TV/Video capture card.
