Bronze Tools is a package of two graphic applications - IconEdit2 and RainbowGround. IconEdit2 is truecolor icons editing utility. It supports ICO,EXE,DLL,BMP and JPEG for open/extract/convert to icons. It can save your work as TrueColor or 16-color ICO, and also BMP and JPEG files. It allows painting, search icons and capture any 32x32 or 16x16 screen area. RainbowGround is a utility for wallpaper / Web background images creation. It produces periodic, tileable images based on user-given or randomly generated color factors values. It can save resulting images as Web background (*.jpg) or as Windows background (*.bmp). Our Review: Bronze Tools iisthe culmination of two of Kozhinov's software, RainbowGround and IconEdit2. RainbowGround is an unusual background maker; it uses a randomisation through red blue and green to generate coloured background images that are very tileable. RainbowGround has a good interface, very easy to see what to do. You can fiddle with the end product contrast and the brightness - an extra bonus. IconEdit2 is a great little icon editing program. Simple to use, and the tools (such as spray paint) work just like the bigger graphics applications do. It even includes a screen capture utility, and can search out icons on your hard drive. Unfortunately when it loads an icon, if the background color is present in the icon, IconEdit2 assumes that it is invisible, which is not always the case. Otherwise, this is one of the better icon editing programs. Both pieces of software are recommended.
