ShapeBook 1.1 is a productivity tool for quick access to the detailing dimensions and design properties of structural shapes. The intuitive user interface makes shape selection quick and simple. Detailing dimensions and design properties are displayed in the corresponding display tabs on the main dialog box. ShapeBook uses AISC criteria for determining the approximate detailing dimensions in fractional inches Our Review: A potentially invaluable desktop-calculator style engineer and architects' toolbox. The simple interface system of several tabs lets the user input the relative data. Fast, efficient in terms of resources and complete with a handy mini-dictionary of property detail acronyms. On the down side there are no graphical options, but the trial version will let you know whether you'll have a more permanent need for its abilities. Needless to say, it's a highly specialised package and not for the casual user.
