>BookCAT is a powerful application designed to catalog and manage a personal, club, school, church, or business library. BookCAT will help you know what you have, where it is (including books lent out) and the total value of your collection. BookCAT has a comprehensive set of fields, enabling you to catalog information like author, title, publisher, ISBN number, publish date, number of pages, editor, original title, translator, binding, edition, category and sub-category, purchase date, price, current value, condition, personal rating, owner, location, keywords, awards and nominations, comments, synopsis, reviews, and more. Other features include unlimited number of records, custom data fields, a loan module, flexible searching, a report designer, more than 80 pre-defined reports and a HTML generator. Our Review: A useful tool, particularly for smaller libraries or book collectors. BookCAT catalogs entries alphabetically, and allows for the name, title, and year to be inputted, as well as providing a reference number. Also lets you put the cover page of the book on the database, as well as more advanced fields such as publication date, binding, etc. It will then let you manipulate the database along the lines of a library's functions (i.e- reserved, on loan, etc). Very easy to use. This shareware version will only let you input 40 entries. This new version features a few new fields and some minor bug-fixes.
