CD-Archiver is a 'nifty' little tool to archive song data. You can create numerous collections of different archives, or just one huge archive of data. Why is it any good? CD-Archiver lets you sort and organize the data by artist name, album name, song name, or music style. You can also choose whether or not your sort is organized alphabetically or by how long the string actually is (meaning, Metallica is longer than Blur, and Smashing Pumpkins is longer than Slipknot). This makes sure the list of data is easily viewable when it reaches a VERY large size. If that's not good enough, you can then search through all the data and CD-Archiver returns all matches found (The search parameters are now CASE-INSENSITIVE, so if you search for metallica the search engine WILL turn up Metallica.). You can search by artist, album, song, style, or through ALL fields at once to return matches.
Our Review: A song and album cataloguing application. Kind of tacky, but it works okay and it's free.
