MyStars!
MyStars! is a fun and educational windows program that shows the position of stars, the sun, the planets, comets and the Messier objects as they would be seen from any position on earth. It also allows you to vary the time of view (what did the stars look like the day that I was born?). Various options allow you to view the planet names, constellation names, and several celestial coordinate grids as well. An animation option generates a series of views separated by fixed intervals of time. Our Review: With this program the position of the stars, planets, even asteroids and comets can be seen from any position on the Earth at any time. Different views and angles, paralax correction, scattering or refraction can be set to get neccessary perspectives or information. Also, there is animation of the sky changes on time basis. List of stars, planets and other objects are very detailed but the user can also specify custom objects. Good program which provides valuable information for astronomers and potentially very interesting for anyone wanting to learn about astronomy.
