You’re sitting tapping away at the computer and you suddenly glance up at the clock and think ‘Oh no - I should have been in Town half an hour ago!’ or ‘I’ve missed my favourite ever film on TV!’
Does this sound familiar? Then Alarm Clock could be just what you need. The program adds a useful feature to the Windows 95, 98 or NT 4 task bar clock. It will allow you to set alarms as one off, daily, weekly, monthly or annual. Assuming your PC has a sound card, you can choose from a selection of sample sounds to play, or use any other wave file on your computer. If you wish, you can specify a message of up to 600 characters to show. Unlike many personal organiser programs, it will not ‘hog’ all your computer’s memory and disc space. It is small, simple to use and will work unobtrusively in the background.
Our Review: Alarm Clock is the easiest PC clock I have used. It is so easy to use that the help files are completely unnecessary. It does not have a lot of functions but it is quite customizable and has things like personal settings and sound settings where you can play WAV files.
