Servent
Servent is a peer-to-peer based collaboration software tool. It is a fully-distributed information-sharing and exchange technology that allows you to share and download files with Servent users all over the world. Servent exemplifies performance and functionality in peer-to-peer networking with features that can be customized to suit your personal or professional needs across all file types. Our Review: Aaaaah, another file sharing program. Unfortunately this one didn't work through my firewall and so makes this review rather limited. However, from reading the FAQ I can see that Servent (A collaboration of Server and Client) is a peer to peer file sharing program that goes from computer to computer as opposed to computer -> server -> computer when sharing files. I did however get it running over my network and it was very good! You can choose how many files you want shared and how many simultaineous uploads/downloads as well. Very good!
