The Vicomsoft Internet Gateway is an integrated suite of extended Internet connectivity modules. It incorporates a large range of functions including: NAT (Network Address Translation) for Internet connection sharing; industrial strength TCP/IP router; high performance web caching server for accelerated throughput; Connection Teaming to make best use of any available connections; DHCP server for ease of administration; DNS caching for faster access; local DNS server and firewall security. Optional features include a WebHeader server for managing the dissemination of company information; a Remote Access Server; Remote Administration; an Offline Caching Library; Time Controls; Site Filtering and a Local TCP Server Locator. Our Review: Vicomsoft Internet Gateway provides a complete package to serve as a completely configurable internet gateway - allowing individual accounts to be set up for access. Autosetup allows your server to be running in a flash, internet access can be restricted through use of content-filters, and seamless integration is provided with a proxy cache server. The server software includes extensive logging options, excellent pinging and tracing utilities, real-time usage graphs, and complete control of network protocols and security. A highly commendable package.
