InfoScanner is the fastest and easiest way to collect any valuable information directly from the Web. The information, rather unstructured and distributed over the Web, becomes available for any type of organized processing. InfoScanner not just downloads complete Web site or single Web page - it draws the information from selected page elements, e.g. structures, table fields, prices, addresses, titles, descriptions. While preparing the information collect, the InfoScanner saves all user actions made with a web browser in form of Macro. The Macro then may be replayed at any time to perform the collect of data again. This process of data collection can be repeated at any time or within regular periods in order to actualize the selected information. Collected data is saved in XML format. As bonus, the InfoScanner HTML Tree window allows the user to explore the structure and the logic of the web pages in the most unique and convenient way. Our Review: A new way to access the internet without the cumbersome use of a web browser. InfoScanner allows you to gather information by the use of macros (so it's also a good automation tool), as well as organise it. A great concept that works a lot of the time, depending on the way it is utilised. It has a good interface, and I had no trouble getting it going. Be warned that it uses the Windows Installer (MSI), so make sure you have the updated version of this.
