Inpic is a consumer multimedia management system for Internet users that includes such features as a thumbnail viewer, a multimedia database, a multimedia player for movies, images and sounds, an NNTP newsreader and a powerful website spider. It also features inbuilt security and even speech synthesis in the interface.
Our Review: This is what all media management programs want to be when they grow up. The databasing function is logical and easy, the thumbnail and graphical viewers are fast and the audio and movie player provide the essentials as well. A solid media viewer indeed, however it is the internet features that separate InPic from the others ensuring it sorts out everything from finding media on the web and downloading it through its website spider to creating comprehensive slideshows and even encrypting it for you. It even features a seemingly unrelated but not un-welcome newsreader to sweeten the already mighty fine deal. In terms of ease of use InPic also comes up trumps with a superb tabbed interface (I just can't get enough of those lovely tabs!), a magnifier for those without the old 20/20 vision and a great help section just in case. Brilliant.
NB. You can also try the personal edition sans internet features, encryption etc. Bascially it is a multimedia viewer.
