The purpose of PicPluck is to automate the downloading of pictures from websites. Using the built-in mini-browser, you can surf to any website. If you find a page of pictures you would like to have on your hard drive, or many pages scattered throughout a site, you can let PicPluck download all the pictures and follow the links automatically. PicPluck is highly customizable, so that you can tell it the best way to grab pictures off particular sites. You can also decide whether to download only JPEGs, GIFs, AVIs, or MPEG, or any combination.
Our Review: Frustratring as hell - this version creates a new folder for each collection of plucked images but goes no further on the plucking trail - even though it claims to have finished plucking in an instant. If it DID work though - I would recommend this program highly... PicPluck allows you to specify a website to trawl through, from which point it will collect all images and follow all links to collect more images. Various tweaks can be set to limit how many levels down it will search, as well as whether you wish for it to leave the original domain. Included within the program is a categorised picture viewer. As I said - if you can get this to work you'll find it very useful.
