StayConnected - keeps you connected to the Internet. Do you pay a monthly flat rate for your Internet connection, with no call charges? Does your Service Provider disconnect you after a period of inactivity, or when you reach their time limit? Does this annoy you, because you want to Stay Connected all the time? If so, then StayConnected is for you. StayConnected is a small application that simply does its best to keep you connected to the Internet. What's more, its shareware. Try it. If you like it, send the author a note - $10, £5 - whatever you think it is worth to you. If you don't think its worth anything, just don't use it. Our Review: StayConnected (not to be confused with the inKline product) is a simple utility that attempts to prevent your dial-up isp from disconnecting you after an extended period of inactivity. This is useful if your computer acts as a host of some sort - not always busy but needing to be available at all times. StayConnected achieves a constant connection by pinging a specified website at intervals - thus maintaining the connection by appearing to be busy. Unfortunately some isps are wise to this and pinging just one singular website won't always work. If your isp is gullible enough and you wish to remain online all day long then StayConnected will do the trick.
