Smart-ie brings several enhancements to Microsoft Internet Explorer: no more pop-up windows and consoles even with Javascript enabled. In-place navigation: all the pages open in the current window. You can however open a page in a new window by Ctrl+click on its link. Accelerated pages loads. Give a reference page (referring URL) to access to pages that check the location of the page where you clicked. Friendly setup: no changes on your initial Internet Explorer, you can run it normally without Smart-ie. Our Review: Smart-ie is an enhancement for Internet Explorer that suppresses pop-up windows - without turning off java scripting. The concept works like this - Smart-ie appears as a small icon in your systray; you can either load Internet Explorer normally (and bypass Smart-ie) or you can double-click on the Smart-ie icon and bring up a 'safe' browser window. Smart-ie also reduces screen clutter by forcing each link you click to open in the same window. A good way to make your browsing experience a 'pop-up free' one.
