FirstStop WebSearch is a fully customizable, search engine utility, which runs on any MS Windows desktop and works with as many multiple information sources as selected by the user. By utilizing the resources of the desktop, FirstStop WebSearch provides features like background downloading, random or sequential viewing of results, sorting capabilities by column headers, results saved as XML or HTML files, keyword history searches, and other customizable settings. Most importantly, FirstStop WebSearch eliminates the middleman or compiler; by directly accessing the search engines, thus speeding up the entire process. Our Review: FirstStop WebSearch is a standalone searching application that allows you to perform fast paced searches on all the major search engines. WebSearch also includes a filter to allow you to reduce your many many search results down to something more useful - the filters include the ability to filter by hits also so that you can base your search on a URLs popularity. Even better is the ability for WebSearch to verify all the links found by pinging the link and removing it from the list if the timeout limit is reached. A great way to wade through all that the internet has to offer.
