NotePager is a Shareware alphanumeric paging dispatch software. Using a modem, it can dispatch messages to alphanumeric or numeric pagers. Messages can be sent to one or more pagers. The program requires the following information before a message can be sent: 1. Your pager service provider's modem dispatch phone number (often called their TAP dispatch line) 2. The PIN/ID number for your pager. You must also get this from your paging service provider. 3. The modem settings to connect to their modem - baud rate - parity - data bits - stop bits 4. The COM port of your modem (shared or network modems work fine) Our Review: NotePager32 is a handy little program that allows you to send messages to a pager, directly from your computer. For those of you who like to play the stock markets, theres an option to get notifications of when your stocks reach a pre-defined level. Similar to the short message services for cellphones available on the internet, it does require a modem connection. The setup process is a little confusing for the non-computer literate, but it does provide good, step by step instructions.
