Audible dialup connection alarm. Duax Pro sounds an audible alarm whenever an Internet dialup connection is established or broken, thus preventing unintentional or unwanted connections going unnoticed. Optionally plays a sound at preset intervals to remind you that the modem is still online, always or only when the connection is idle. Can establish a connection selected in a list of all available connections but also monitors connections initiated by other applications located on the same computer or on computers in a local area network sharing the modem in the computer where Duax Pro is running. Provides information about current connection: connection status, modem name, connection name, speed, bytes sent, bytes received, time online, IP address. Viewable and printable connection log. Customizable alarm sounds. Optionally sounds an alarm when a preset monthly time online maximum or download maximum is exceeded. Fully configurable. Duax Pro v1.5 replaces Duax Pro v1.3 Our Review: Duax Pro is an easy-to-use dial up connection monitor. You can set it to sound an alarm when the connection is broken, but it's best feature is the ability to track online time and bytes received and sent. For those of you without unlimited accounts (A trend on the increase with broadband) this is a must have. Duax Pro features good help files, and has an attractive and easy to learn interface. Definitely worth the time to download.
