Watcher is a software for monitoring and recording events while you are away from home. Standalone, it acts as an intelligent home watcher. Used together with the free RemoteView software from Digi-Watcher.com, you can do remote video surveillance (real time). Our Review: Watcher is a relatively simple video-monitoring program which can monitor a web-cam for movement and then record logs, save the video footage or even make a phonce call for you (this is only available in the registered version however). Almost too easy to setup up, Watcher is also a breeze to operate with just three simple modes to play with. Record mode simply records video (a good range of different compression and size formats are available), Monitor mode watches out for movement and the Listen mode works in conjunction with RemoteView, another application that allows you to view your web-cam from a remote computer. Small, simple, powerful and cheap, Watcher can provide a superb solution to many specific surveillance needs.
