eSTOP! was developed as a security product with the intent to view and (e)mergency STOP problem TCP connections. It displays in real-time any TCP connection in or out of your computer. Web connections are an example of a TCP connection. You can instantly stop that connection by double clicking on the connection in the list or by pressing one of the three large red buttons on the main window.
Our Review: Simple freeware application that displays all your current TCP connections in one convenient window. For each connection port information is given, as well as a general descriptive message and an indication of its security risk (beware, it thinks pretty much everything is a high risk). Severing connections can be done individually or in groups with a quick click on one of the big colourful buttons provided. You can gide eSTOP in your system tray, always on top or have it pop up should a certain connection arise - looks like they thought of everything.
