AutoPix is the ultimate automated NNTP downloader/ decoder/previewer for Windows 95/98 and Windows NT. Set up the news server name, pick some newsgroups, tell the program where to place all the pictures and the software does the rest! AutoPix will download the pictures from the subscribed newsgroups and place them in the directory of your choice. While AutoPix is working, you can see a preview of each picture (or view it full size!) as it is downloaded. Our Review:This shareware version of a news reader has almost all functions disabled, thus making it useless. Also, it's very frustrating when every function is locked out with a nag. This one is definitely not for the faint hearted, and is not very useful to boot. |
