Acorn Email v2.5 is a POP3 and SMTP email client. Acorn Email is shareware, but is not time or feature limited in any way. Instead Acorn Email runs advertising banners in the unregistered version. A $16.50 registration fee will get a key that turns off the ads. Our Review: This is an effective yet simple email client. If the user knows their ISP's POP server name and the SMTP address, they can set up this program with the click of just a few buttons. Acorn E-Mail has a very user-friendly interface, a good help section and comes with good recommendations. One problem, however, was the inability of the program to route through a proxy server but for a stand-alone PC, this is a fine program.
