lirch is a full-featured irc client written in 100% Java. It supports many features found in other modern irc clients such as DCC Get/Send/Whiteboard, colors/bold/underline, CTCP, identd, finger client/server, url catching, logging, flood-protection, auto-ignoring, nick-completion, notify list, scripting (aliases, popups, events) among many other things. It is extremely configurable and easy to use.
Our Review: As far as IRC clients go, this is quite good. Lirch is very much like mIRC in interface, and doesn't really have that many features to make it stand out from the crowd. It is written in 100%, so if you're a Java enthusiast this will probably make you feel quite good about using it. Unfortunately, this does make it run quite slowly. Still, if you're looking for a multi-platform IRC client, this would be a good way to go.
