Prudence
Prudence is a new software product from the virtual development den of the blue wolf network. Prudence is a tool that allows parents to monitor what their young children are doing on the Web. If parents can monitor kids' web browsing sessions, then they can take pro-active and mature steps to teach their children responsible behavior and instill in them values of what is expected, what is appropriate, and what is acceptable. Our Review: Prudence works with Netscape to help monitor the people who use Netscape to browse the web. It saves a copy of everything that is viewed onto the hard drive, allowing the parent/guardian to check what their children have been up to. Rather than indiscriminantly disallowing the users of the computer to view sites that may contain questionable material, Prudence gives the users of the computer complete freedom. Once the parent/guardian has checked the material that has been viewed, they can decide if it is appropriate, and if not, take steps against it happening in the future.
