Internet Gate for Windows
The main screen is divided in three sections. The top section show the pulldown menus and, immediately below it, the toolbar buttons, from which you can access all the common configuration functions. The middle section show on the left the Internet Gate logo bitmap and on the right a tabbed panel with an overview of the proxy servers that where configured and the active connections. Directly below the tabbed panel is the dialer activity indicator with the button used to force the connection's start and stop. The bottom section show a status bar, all relevant messages are displayed on this status bar. Our Review: This application is a Windows based proxy server for Windows. Internet Gate supports most proxies and is also capable of webserver functions for mail delivery. On the whole, it is a fairly good application although not aimed at the beginner making a brief knowledge of server operation a must for this application.
