The Outer Worlds Browser is the software that you use to visit Outer Worlds virtual environments. An Outer World is a place that you inhabit along with other users who are logged in to the Outer World at the same time as you are. You can communicate with other users, and you can see their avatars. Some worlds have lots you can buy with virtual money that you can build on, and whatever you build is visible to all others who visit that world. In short, an Outer World is a shared experience using the Outer Worlds Browser as an intermediary and common language. Each Outer World may be subtly or radically different, but the Browser can take you to all of them. As the Outer Worlds Universe continues to expand, your Outer Worlds Browser can take you from place to place quickly and easily, and you'll be able to see new places and talk to new people.
Our Review: Outer Worlds is another on-line community which uses a 3D browser to let users wander around virtual worlds under the guise of their own 'avatar' talking to others. And like the others it is a terrible struggle to set up. However, once or if you ever do get it up and running, Outer World offers some neat graphics and some intereseting features such as 3D personalised webpages. Worth a try.
