Webcelerator speeds your Web browsing by both remembering where you have been and anticipating where you will go. It gathers web pages which are linked to your current page so they are ready quickly when you want them. It stores all pages it has gathered in an local cache so you can revisit a previous page with nearly instant results. Make it as big as you want for offline browsing. But don't worry, the web page files are highly compressed to conserve your disk space.
Our Review: Webcelerator uses new techniques to optimise your internet connection, and comes very highly recommended. The interface is incredibly simple. While not so feature-packed, it does the job and does it very well. How does it work? By trying to guess ahead what your next click may be when viewing a web page. This means gathering the link data from your current page and loading it, (in a very compressed form) so that the links are much quicker to load when clicked. Nice idea and quite effective. It's version 1.0, so if it works for you, let them know.
